(Anonymous) 2012-08-14 04:26 am (UTC)(link)After going through the usual process of elimination (changed panties at least once a day, didn't swim or sit in a wet bathing suit for long periods, wasn't sexually active, didn't douche or wash inside the vaginal opening with soap of any kind, etc.), I was told it was most likely my practice of always wearing a pantiliner, because the synthetic fiber in the liner and the plastic on the bottom of it aren't breathable the way cotton panties are. The heat, moisture, and lack of air creates a perfect environment for bacteria.
