I just don't really feel the overwhelming urge to write fic for community because so much of that show is fulfilling my desires right there on screen.

Pretty much this. I've found that I only have the desire to read/write fic for a show when there's something more that I want to see explored. So it's like the better the show or execution, the less fic I need of it... Which can seem a bit counterproductive in some ways, but it kind of makes sense in the whole "if it aint broke, don't fix it" motto.
