I am working on two fics right now.

One is for a comm fest and I am very excited about it but I can't talk about it because it's a secret but I love it dearly! It's going to be shorter than 3K just because of word count constrictions, but I'll probably have to eventually do a lot of paring it down because I have so many ideas! I have all of the plot thought up, but now I have to get down to actually writing it!

Another one is one that I've been working on for a while and I love it dearly also. It's a canon compliant Sherlock fusion with Frankenstein where Moriarty is actually a creature Sherlock created at uni and then abandoned. Right now I'm writing chapter three and I have some of Moriarty's pre-death background written a bit of another scene that takes place Post-Reichenbach, and I need to finish writing through the beginning of A Scandal in Belgravia. That will be the end of chapter three. I'm guessing that Chapter three will probably be around 2 K, which will make the whole fic after Chapter 3 about 5 K.

I don't write things that I don't love or that I'm not excited about. I don't see the point if it's for fun! But YMMV I guess.

OP here. I meant 'hate' in the sense that most of us start hating our writing while going over the first draft, or trying to pull a difficult chapter out of our asses. You can be excited about an idea and love it while still hating the process. I figured that was part of the creative cycle for most of us.

(Oh, in that case then I hated both of them for a while until I had some breakthroughs yesterday.)

the fusion sounds fascinating! i didn't get a chance to see either casting of the film version this summer--crossing my fingers that they'll re-release. \o/

Thank you! I actually never saw the film or the play either. I've read most of the book (being busy with summer prevented me from finishing it :/), but mostly the fic is just inspired from small parts of the book; you don't need to know anything about Frankenstein to read it!

I also hope they re-release and near me, but I doubt it because I live in the middle of nowhere, USA. I really want it to come out on DVD!
