Hey y'all. I just finished watching Revenge and I need something to watch. Can any of y'all suggest a TV series with a main female char but no (or little) het romance? I don't hate canon het (or manslash) but I'm in the mood for a lady-o-rama show (lots of ladies, few guys). Halp?

Yes. The blond female investigator, Sue, is deaf. The golden retriever is her hearing dog. I thought the show was interesting because though the main character is disabled, she is an important and contributing member of the team.

Hmm...Political Animals kinda counts! It's a miniseries, but it's legit all about awesome ladies. And Covert Affairs seems to be heading in the het-romance direction, but it's been building for some time and it's pretty cute. And that's not the main focus of the show; it's kinda all about awesome ladies as well.

- The Closer (there *is* a bit of romance but it's really not the focus)

- Crossing Jordan, maybe.
- V (2009)? (the end is kind of botched though, it should have had a third season)
- Damages?
- Veronica Mars?

Crossing Jordan doesn't really belong on this list especially after Woody shows up at whatever episode he starts in and she has the weird on / off relationship with him + then starts randomly dating someone else in the middle of it.

Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries could work for you. many women (of all ages, which is even better), including a queer doctor bff with the protag.

the protag has an active heterosexual sex life (different partners), but it's not the focus.

If you want to go old school, how about Designing Women?

There's also Medium (female protagonist is married), Covert Affairs (some romance, but more ust than anything), The Good Wife (lots of strong female characters, not too much romance, but some and even some femslash), and if you don't mind some raunch (and some problematic sterotyping), there's 2 Broke Girls.

Seconding Medium! It's amazing.

Bomb Girls! Set in a factory in 1940s Canada so it's all about the ladies. Some het but not obnoxiously so. It's all girl power rah and awesome.
