I don't have any, I want some. Every Sterek fic I've opened has been like

To each their own but I don't read that as all too IC. Does anybody have any recs where their relationship builds slowly and it's not flowery, possessive romance?

this is not helpful but I am working on one? I am posting a oneshot tonight that has more of my head!canon of them but not fully fleshed out. I am trying to figure out how I want to write them before I start an epically long fic, because I don't want to write them horribly.

But I love writing UST and build up and am not at all interested in possessive/mating/knottingfornoreasonfic

Sounds good. Unless I'm in a particular mood, I don't care much for possessive/mating reads meself.

Two great stories I put off reading because of their summaries:

Stiles and Lydia aged up to federal agents investigating beacon hills (Season 1 AU with logic!): The Forgotten Predator

This one goes off canon early in season 2, and at this point I am more invested in her plot than the actual show: The Complementary Series

Nah -- Stiles is a bit more reluctant than that. There's a point where he says: "WTF, is this real? You may be the hottest thing since ghost pepper chili but... this is just so... so... sudden!" At which point Derek goes and broods in a closet for a week.

But possessive!Derek is like a huge kink of mine so I'll read it anyway.
