Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I've thought about this too. I'd want to go out with a bang (no pun intended), so I'd volunteer, enjoy the last three days in the Capitol, and then I'd just "accidentally" step off my platform before the time is up.

Possibly, I'd even tell my fellow tribute about it, so while the others are distracted, he can run for the supplies and be off on his merry way.
