Someone's already mentioned the Avengers "Fight or Flyte" fic. I also remember reading and loving a Doctor Who/Horrible Histories crossover in which Eleven met Bob Hale.

But my favourite one will always be the one in which Grima Wormtongue beams the Fellowship up to a space station, along with a random French actor dude, and forces them all to read spam emails and bad fanfic.

I get really surprised when people act as if Daikichi was a groomer. I might be misunderstanding the paralells that people keep pulling between Usagi Drop and ex. Tale of Genji, but I never once got the feeling that Daikichi had any intention of thinking of Rin as something else but his daughter until he was pressured into doing so by Rin and Rin's mother.

I always find it so sad from his perspective, especially when Rin corners him and (if I remember correctly) tells him she never viewed him as her father/he shouldn't view her as his daughter.
It was his whole life up til that moment, and he responds with being hurt and angry by this, since he obviously viewed her as a daughter, wheras Rin saw Daikichi as Daikichi.

Ugh, I just feel bad for him. Because eventhough the ending says: Yeah, he decided that it was okay to get together. I can't imagine him not agonizing over the ways things became.

Or maybe I'm just wishing this ¯\(°_o)/¯.

Some people really didn't like the way it ended and expressed that in the reviews, and the author flipped and took down most of the story and said she was quitting back then. That she'd still stick around even after for a bit was surprising.

I think I'll probably have a looksee there, yeah.

And this is why I'll probably be forever alone. Realistically, no sexual person is going to want to be with an ace long-term.

And that realization hurts. That's why I stay away from ace fic entirely--as I see it, it'll likely be done one of two ways: either the author does a shit job portraying asexuality, or it's dead-on, and I take no solace from seeing the characters end up as lonely in love as I have.

Except there's no evidence Ghinius did anything to her prior to what we see in the series. We don't see a howwible abusive monster oh noez in the flashback, we see a sad kid whose bedridden. They had every opportunity to show Ghinius being abusive towards Aina in the past and they didn't. Maybe because, I don't know, HE DIDN'T FUCKING BEAT/RAPE/TORTURE/WHATEVER HER unlike the fandom insists.

Do you have any reading comprehension at all? The secret said that Ghinius tried to shoot Aina BEFORE she left. Which he did, and the only reason she didn't die right then and there is because he forgot to load the gun. You can like Ghinius all you want, but others have to right to think he was unforgivable for that action and Aina was better off ditching him at that point.
