I think that if you're interacting with actual people in a sexual way, even if it's just as a character, it's different than porn.
That doesn't mean it shouldn't be acceptable in a relationship, but I think it's definitely that should be discussed before just doing it.

I don't feel that way personally, but some people do.
Though I definitely think being actively involved in a chat is more intimate then watching something as a third party.
