People wanted another one, so...

PANFANDOM REC MEME

"I ship it!"
"I want fic!"
"I want art!"
"I don't care what it is, but I want it!"
"Where's the fandom?"

Rec meme! You ask for recs, and others provide (or fill!).

Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.

Don't feel bad about reccing your own stuff, either! Apparently someone else wants to see it, right?

As far as printed books go, you've probably read everything I can think to recommend--Robin McKinley's Beauty, Rose Daughter, and, to some extent, Sunshine, and also Alex Flinn's Beastly. As far as fanfic goes, Once Upon a Time fandom has quite a few because the show did a Beauty and the Beast episode that spawned a very popular pairing and tons of fanfic. Nym's A Bed of Thorns is a WIP AU, very well written provided you don't mind smut. It's updated regularly and she plans to finish it before the new season starts in late September, if you can't stand WIPs. Most of the rest of the fic for the pairing doesn't focus on the period of time when the beastly character actually looked like a beast.

I suppose I'd better post a link to it, too. http://archiveofourown.org/works/377718. And if that doesn't work, I think it's the longest fic for the Once Upon a Time fandom on AO3. I don't think you'd need to be familiar with the show to read it. Oh, and another book rec-Donna Jo Napoli's Beast, which is YA/young adult. Actually, so are Beauty, Rose Daughter, and Beastly.
