I'm amazed no one has responded to this yet! Okay, nonnie, I have a whole bunch of these because I happen to love this type of HP fic. If you don't know already, the key word for this is "severitus", which was the name of a prompter who asked for Snape/Harry adoption/fatherhood fic.

Some of these are very famous, but with luck at least a few will be new for you. ^^ If you like a fic, be sure to check out the author's profile page, as several of them have sequels--some more than one. I'm just going to copy-paste from my recs page.

s2m's comments: D'awww...Harry as Snape's kitty! :3 The first few chapters are rough, but they smooth out by chapter 10 or so! A fun idea with some interesting plot twists. This is the official English translation, as the fic is actually written in French, and is here. The translation is rather rough for the first few chapters, but it does smooth out.

This fic isn't just focused on the central plot, but takes the time to explore the various aspects and events of Harry's day-to-day life and the resulting fallout of his significant achievements. A very good read, I was never bored!

author's summary: When Snape is called to the Dursleys' by an urgent message, he does not find what he expects to find.

s2m's comments: The title may be rather plain, but the story definitely is not! Very gripping, and only made more so since there's no dashing, perfect heroics in this fic. Things do not go as planned, no one saves the day, and poor Snape is just trying to fulfill his promise to Lily. Well-written and with an intriguing glimpse of Snape's past. (And who doesn't want to see the Dursleys get what they deserve?)

Digging for the Bones, WIP, a Snape is Harry's real father story. AU from the start of third year. There is a character death, and trigger warnings for attempted suicide, child abuse, and death due to child abuse.

It's an epic in seven parts, complete, super long, with excellent world-building and even when it has OCs, they're so well done I broke my rule of "no OCs ever okay" just for this.

I only got to the sixth part and gave up because my mind wandered and now I'm kind of scared to read it all again from the beginning, but that's what I would have to do to remember what was going on, but anyway!
