Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.

I'm amazed no one has responded to this yet! Okay, nonnie, I have a whole bunch of these because I happen to love this type of HP fic. If you don't know already, the key word for this is "severitus", which was the name of a prompter who asked for Snape/Harry adoption/fatherhood fic.

Some of these are very famous, but with luck at least a few will be new for you. ^^ If you like a fic, be sure to check out the author's profile page, as several of them have sequels--some more than one. I'm just going to copy-paste from my recs page.

s2m's comments: D'awww...Harry as Snape's kitty! :3 The first few chapters are rough, but they smooth out by chapter 10 or so! A fun idea with some interesting plot twists. This is the official English translation, as the fic is actually written in French, and is here. The translation is rather rough for the first few chapters, but it does smooth out.

s2m's comments: This fic is a classic in HP fandom, and I believe it is well-deserved. It's one of (if not THE) first Snape-adopts-Harry stories, and has been the inspiration for many authors. This fic isn't just focused on the central plot, but takes the time to explore the various aspects and events of Harry's day-to-day life and the resulting fallout of his significant achievements. A very good read, I was never bored!

Slave Child by Kristen Hudson
genre/rating: Drama, Angst, PG-13
author's summary: A duel with Draco leads to drastic and permanent consequences for both Harry and Severus.

s2m's comments: This fic packs a real punch! This one is part of my beloved Mentor!Snape collection. But definitely don't read if you're looking for something happy. O.o I stopped reading around chapter 35, as her emo!Harry and comforting!Snape were getting a bit too much for me. I still rec the fic, though!

author's summary: It all started with a letter from home and family. Except, Harry doesn't really have either, does he? He's about to get them. A Snape-adopts-Harry story providing an alternate 6th year.

s2m's comments: If all fanfic were this good, I'd never need to buy a normal book again. I can't express how amazing this fic is. I laughed, I cried, I squirmed, I hid under my desk, I hoped, and I profoundly thanked the random person who recced it to an LJ comm. *tears of joy*

Yet Another Snape Meets the Dursleys Story by rabbit and -v-Jinx-v
genre/rating: Drama, Comedy, G
author's summary: When Snape is called to the Dursleys' by an urgent message, he does not find what he expects to find.
length: complete at 30 chapters, 71,811 words
setting: after book 4
s2m's comments: The title may be rather plain, but the story definitely is not! Very gripping, and only made more so since there's no dashing, perfect heroics in this fic. Things do not go as planned, no one saves the day, and poor Snape is just trying to fulfill his promise to Lily. Well-written and with an intriguing glimpse of Snape's past. (And who doesn't want to see the Dursleys get what they deserve?)

If you only have time for one, my personal fave of the bunch is Resonance. It has two sequels, Revolution and Resolution. Revolution is complete, Resonance is nearly so, and still being regularly updated. GOOD STUFF OMG.
