I'm not one of those people who doesn't think he's evil or in the very least a very bad bad man, but one of the reasons I thought Thor was so good is because Loki came off as a very complex villain. It was hard not to feel sorry for him, even if he was very much over reacting to his own issues.

And for a silly comic book movie I did not expect much of, I really felt that story was pulled off well (also I know comic books themselves are that complex, but comic book movies often aren't.)

I know there are some delusional fans out there but some of us realize who he is and still kind of want to give him a hug ;.;
