Puberty, I would imagine. (The line between teenager and adult, on the other hand... I don't want to have to define that.) Unless you're talking mentally, and that's a much grayer scale.

In the movie the "obviously" adult people with you know, proper job and all, can't see the monster. But the 16-17 year old teenagers they still can.
