Gravity Falls

Your thoughts on it? Personally I like the show, but I think they should start giving the book a bit more air time. If that's the huge mystery of the show, it seems sort of low key/only mentioned very rarely. Especially now that it's shown there's more than one.

I also am starting to ship Mabel/Gideon. I know that is so wrong, so very, very wrong LOL

I've only watched the first episode (and plan on watching the rest!), but the characters were adorable and fun, the animation was well done, the writing my kind of funny, and I'm in love with the color palettes they use.

It's a very funny and highly charming show. The mystery twins are precious.

I feel as though the "conspiracy" element isn't going to pan out as anything particularly stunning though, since every paranormal event so far has been played completely for absurd comedy. All the codes and hidden messages etc. seem like not much more than cool window dressing atm.

I'm hoping it gets a little more serious. They habe gone a bit dark before, maybe, maybe. I'm having a hard time not seeing nods to other things in their writing. There's been many a time where I'll see a joke and think "Wow, was that a Daria ref?" or "That's definitely Twilight, huh"

I love it - but I think the continuity will bite it in the ass. Even though as of late they seem to be watchable in any order.
