I remember in 8th grade a girl who was kind of obsessed with eyes started ranting about how everyone else in her family had blue or green eyes and she was stuck with ugly brown ones, and her best friend who had blue eyes was laughing and agreeing with her and saying stuff like "yeah, why would you want to have brown eyes? What can you compare brown eyes to? Dirt?" It made me really angry.

And yeah, I agree. I like blue eyes and blonde hair, but society's obsession with them is getting pretty boring.
