Well do you act really dickish on your journal? Because if you do, I can assure you that even if this secret is not specifically about you, there are people who hate your fic because of your attitude.

Elaborate on dickish. Because I've seen people use that for a fan when it's just a person disagreeing with another about something (usually fandom related), followed by them forgetting about the incident.

But a person being dickish because they're constantly stalking fans and bullying them? Or making entries on their journal mocking other fans? Yeah, that's pretty dickish.

Or rallying their followers to dogpile less popular or less-friended people commenting disagreement on their blog? The only BNFs I ever really disliked in one fandom, this is what did it for me - and it wasn't even directly to me, it was watching them do it to other people.
