I'm pretty much broke but I still manage to travel a lot by doing all kinds of odd jobs. I know it's not a possibility for everyone, but it's a suggestion.

Considering I can't even keep a job I don't know that it would be an option for me to travel. I'm exhausted and sick constantly and I can barely function enough to do the bare minimum anymore.

I always wanted to travel more but I have commitments and obligations where I am, so I'd have to deal with a lot of drama if I just up and left. I'm not really getting enjoyment out of anything right now so the thought of traveling just exhausts me.

But even if you just left, even for a while, wouldn't it be better than dying?
You might as well do stuff now since you still have the chance, even with all the drama.

You're missing the point. Anon CAN'T just up and leave their obligations. It's not a matter of "If I don't try really hard to do this, I can't have cable or the internet," it's "if I don't do this, I CAN'T EAT. I CAN'T PAY RENT."

"Just leave" is not helpful advice. Because no, to someone in this position, chances are more than good that the prospect of being kicked to the curb, of going hungry and being alone with NOTHING is NOT better. I know "check your privilege" is so overused it's barely resonant anymore, but I this is a case where you might wanna.
