I remember when one author I liked started calling another author I liked a "rape apologist." (The circumstances were too complicated to describe quickly, but both characters in the offending scene were consenting adults.) The second author tried to argue with him, relatively politely, but the first author just kept posting the same insults over and over.

I no longer read the first author's work. I don't want to contribute in any way to his view counts, and I definitely don't want to help any of his stories get featured. He has the right to his opinions, but I have the right not to support them.
