Or maybe they're from experience. In my experience it's usually quite easy to tell apart an unattractive nice person and an unattractive nasty person. The way they hold their resting expression, the way their facial muscles are accustomed to be arranged, they way the lines in their faces are set, little things like whether or not their smile reaches their eyes (look at that picture — CC's eyes are cold and slightly pulled up in a manner that suggests contempt, given the complete lack of humor or warmth elsewhere in her expression) and if their lips curl.

Nasty people often give off a vibe through little details in how they look. Not uncontrollable stuff like hideous rashes, deeply personal things like how your smile lines look. Lots of exceptions, of course, but it's common enough to be a real thing.

Attractive nasty people are harder to spot — if you're attractive it's much easier to paste a perfect plastic smiling face that can fool and/or distract anyone and make yourself seem nice.

And of course there's also that cliched-but-true thing that when you know a person is nice, they look nicer to you.

I think I get what you mean, but you've got to be super specific here or else it sounds nasty.

Kindness IS attractive, and it really does change the whole look of your face and your magnetism, so to speak, even if you're not handsome or pretty or whatever.

Yeah, stupid prejudices exist, but there is always something about the gaze and the mouth that can put you at ease in a kind person.

Tom Riddle. O__O

Yes, exactly. Most of our communication is nonverbal anyway, so for people who are unapologetic assholes, that will come through in their latent facial expressions and the way they carry themselves even before they interact with anyone.
