Lord almighty, I'm in my late fifties and was doing fanac before most of the people posting here were even born; and one of my best friends is in her sixties and has done fanac as long as (if not longer than) I have. And we've fanned on a million actors/characters over the decades (for both of us, "our Doctor" is Four), with varying degrees of what passes for "attractive" or "handsome" or "good-looking" or whatever the criteria is. And we were talking today since I've just been Loki'ed, dammit, and we agreed that Tom in full Loki gear is seriously the most BEAUTIFUL human being we've seen in all our combined years in fandom. And I think Tom himself is way-too-cute and she is over the moon over Ben's looks. So yeah. YMMV from ours, but HOW?

for some reason I thought you were saying that you had been taking a drug called fanac as well as your friend and I was thinking "how on earth is that relevant?" But. Obviously that's not what you meant. Anyway I don't understand all the hatred either. Obviously people will have different opinions but they seem to be very vocal about these two actors.
