(Anonymous) 2012-08-20 06:19 am (UTC)(link)One of my friends has become a published writer after we met through fan-fiction, so I know that a third of her novels are rewrites of her fics... And she's on the thin & pretty side.
You'd better ask why a lot of productive fic writers are not model-esque, but that's because writing isn't exercising, and because most of people who have enough time to write novel-length fics are not spending that time doing other things.
