.....huh. Okay then. I suppose I get it, given that I've got strong opinions about the Princesses - like, how about a chubby one? Or one who doesn't end up paired off at the end? But as much as I admire your commitment to sparkle motion, I think we're both dreaming a little bit big. :(

Disney owns Pixar, but they get very little say (if any at all) at what goes on in Pixar's movies. That's part of what makes Pixar so successful. Merida is not part of the official Disney princess lineup. She is not thought of as a Disney princess, she is thought of as Pixar's first princess.

I keep hoping and hoping for one who doesn't get paired off at the end. It would be so nice to have the message that you can be a TOTALLY ASS KICKING LADY without needing to be awarded a dude at the end.
