I'm going to skip over your holier-than-thou attitude about other non-native speakers and get straight to the point about your beta deleting parts of your story you liked.

When it comes to writing, sometimes you have to kill your darlings. I write original fiction, in the have-been-paid-for-it way, and one thing I've learned is that you can write something that's creative and original and gorgeous and smart--and doesn't advance the story at all. And when that happens, it needs to go. No matter how much you like it, if it doesn't advance the story, it's dead weight and you need to get rid of it. That's what it means to kill your darlings. It hurts and it sucks, but it will improve your story. Consider it practice to becoming a better writer.
