The problem is people all of a sudden have a need to label themselves as *special* with fancy labels; asexual, grey-scale asexual, pansexual, demisexual, etc....

I find it ridiculous when someone says, "I'm asexual except when it comes to people with brown hair, green eyes and a good sense of humor." The only thing that it makes you is normal, because most people have a "type" or know what turns them on.

Sorry to say but giving yourself a special snowflake label about your sexuality does not make you a special snowflake. It just makes you a self centered, self important attention seeker.

Don't be a douche yourself and stop trying to pretend that anyone actually gives a fuck about your sex life.

I wouldn't quite say it like you have, but I have sometimes found myself conversing with asexuals who will say "I like sex, I just don't like people" or "I don't want sex, except with ________" and I have to admit, that sounds an awful lot like "sexual but picky." Or even, as you say, sexual and perfectly normal. Being sexual isn't about being desperately driven by endless lust or something.
