I never said he was a sweetheart. He's a pretty complex and flawed him an being, which is what I think makes him interesting.

And he's hardly the only person in Torchwood to be morally dubious - Jack being the finest example.

I was just pointing out that there are plenty more reasons not to like him than "not being Ianto."
