My two favorite Stargate Atlantis characters are Elizabeth Weir and Jennifer Keller. Most of fandom is OK with Weir, but nearly everyone HATES Keller.

EDIT: OH, and everyone hates on Carth from KOTOR, saying he's whiny, but I liked him a lot. Maybe it's because I tend to play that game on the light side.

I never beat KOTOR--I only got to play it at a friend's house--but I definitely don't remember thinking he was all that whiny when I played the game. I never really got the hate for him.

I honestly never thought he was whiny at all but then I saw all sorts of people bashing him for it? Idk.

I liked Weir and Keller! I felt bad for Keller because you could tell that fandom was going to hate her even before she spoke a single line. And then dating McKay was the nail in the coffin. It's so frustrating to read fic that is fine and dandy except for the random evil!Keller, which is like every fic ever it seems.

Yeah, Keller basically had to replace Carson which already is a strike against her, and then dating McKay basically made it so she'd get a ton of hate. At this point I mostly read fics that are Pre-Keller because I don't want to read the bashing.

I liked Elizabeth (and although Torri Higginson was good, there's a part of me that's disappointed that we never got to see what Jessiac Steen would have brought to the role). I didn't dislike Keller, but I kind of got the impression that the writers were all 'Yay! We got someone from Firefly, everyone will love her!' and had no real plan for that character - like a lot of her character development seemed almost tacked on. I guess I just wish that the writers had utilized her character better.

I never disliked Keller I just didn't like what writers twisted McKay's character into to date her. I don't like Weir because I think she was incompetent in her role as the leader (And maybe it's a bit of SG-1 bleedover?)

Now for KotOR. I really like Carth and most of the characters. The only character I have never liked was Bastilla Shan and everyone in fandom loves her. :/

I'm not the biggest Bastilla fan either, mostly because I get really annoyed with her acting superior. Idk, I like all the other characters in KOTOR, as well.
