For the bare minimum without backstory, start with Thor #617 (2011) and proceed from there, also Journey Into Mystery #622 (2011) and proceed from there. Also, for the Exiled crossover event, go with Exiled #1 (2012) and New Mutants #42 & #43 (2012) as well as JiM. Continue with Thor & Journey into Mystery to the present day.
