(Anonymous) 2012-08-24 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)I haven't seen the Borgias TV show, but I'm familiar with some of the historical background. I find it fascinating that in many ways they operated just like every other powerful family in their day, the difference is they didn't leave any descendants to spend the next several centuries sanitizing their images.
