how old are you?

this isn't a hard and fast rule by any means, but I've noticed (when ages are mentioned) that teens and young adults tend to be okay with shotacon and lolicon but older people tend to either not like it ever or stop liking it at some point

That actually makes a heck of a lot of sense to me. When I was fifteen, I shipped twelve-year-olds with reckless abandon, and had no problem shipping fifteen year olds with adults. I had crushes on adults at twelve and fifteen, so it was sort of a form of wish fulfillment.

Now that I'm 22, I won't ship characters that young without aging them up, because I see them as freakin' little kids and think it's squicky as hell.
