Re: Siblings and School
The exception was High School, where my younger brother (13 months between us) and I ended up having pretty much the same circle of friends and hanging out. Actually, even mostly during school we'd still not interact much and just hang out together with our friends outside of school.
Edit to clarify: if it matters there were 4 of us, each 1 year apart in age but a skip in the middle for grades (so example at one time we'd be in: 1st 2nd 4th 5th grades).
