Hmm. The second X-Files movie, the later seasons of Stargate SG-1, and the Stargate Atlantis episode Whispers. Also, Jonas Quinn.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Even Willie and Short Round.

The Star Wars Expanded Universe Bantam-era non-trilogy novels. Yes, even The Crystal Star. It's bizarro but I like it.

<3 Enterprise! I don't even feel guilty about it. It's Star Trek, dammit, and besides, I like Archer way better than Picard.

Aw, Enterprise is campy fun, and I loved how it got kind of cracky towards the end there when they started trying to cram in as much of the Trek mythos as possible.

I'm with you on the Star Wars EU Bantam-era non-trilogy books. I can't think of a single book from that era that I don't like, even the really cheesy ones like Crystal Star. Everything up until NJO is awesome. The NJO books and after that are mostly horrible. I think it is because those earlier books all feel like Star Wars. The movies themselves have cheesy or over the top moments. Those books still maintain the atmosphere of the movies. NJO does not. The later stuff just doesn't feel like Star Wars to me.

I also liked the later seasons of SG1 and Jonas Quinn.

Oh jeez, I hear you on NJO. The repetition was what finally did me in. It's like, a planet's in danger, Jacen has issues, they develop a cunning plan but lose the planet anyway because Yuuzhan Vong are invincible. Rinse and repeat for 19 books. Having a frillion characters didn't help either.

I threw the first NJO book across the room when I read it, because of who they decided to kill (and how, though less so the how), despite having read every EU book I could find up to that point. Then I basically boycotted the entire EU for about eight years or so, out of frustrating and anger at NJO, until I caved and read everything in timeline-chronological order. (It helped that I found a source of everything in order about then!)

My personal headcanon is that NJO doesn't exist. Everything just... stops after the Young Jedi Knights era, and there is no further canon. Everything else - even the ridiculousness of Crystal Star and Children of the Jedi and the like - is fine. Honestly though, as much as I love the three stars, I think I liked the Rogue and Wraith Squadron books better (and I, Jedi, which spun off of the Rogue series). They felt perfectly Star Wars and were often hilariously funny, without destroying characters.

The later seasons of SG1 are the best! Cam's team >>> Jack's team, at least imo. Granted, part of that is probably because I saw seasons 9-10 first and just got really attached to Cam + Vala but...idk...I never cared that much about the earlier seasons.

Is Whispers that season 5 episode with the all-girl team? If so, I loved the concept but hated the episode.

I hate that I love Crystal Star so much, but I DO. I'm just a big sucker for Han all concerned over Luke's love life and then later Luke's enormous mental breakdown. (And the Solo twins didn't even annoy me as much as usual.)
