1. HA! That's kind of cool. Someone somewhere said they shipped Meowth/Pikachu, and I was like, "Hmmm... yeah, okay."

4. My mother knows I read and write teh gay pronz. I don't think my father would even be able to understand, if I tried to explain to him. He's old fashioned enough to use "faggot" (or the French equivalent) when referring to a gay guy, but reasonable enough not to hate them or anything. Still, though, I really don't think he could wrap his brain around me reading and writing about men having sex! It's almost funny to think about.

21. They're so different I can't really compare them. I have to say though, the scene where they get in the boat and leave Pan behind made me cry like almost nothing else. Man, I hope the movie is good--Iorek looks amazing at least!

22. I don't think I ever did, though I always did find Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna to be smokin'.

21. Oh god me too. I bawled. I was quite peeved at the movie trailer though, because you hardly saw Pan. I wonder if they're trying to keep the "magic" of the books on the down low so they can real in more types of audience members? While that'd be upsetting, considering I almost always see the trailer right before the one for Stardust, I don't blame them. Currently. :\

I'm sorry, I love YYH obsessively, but the bois cannot dress; hence, Hiei's WTF shirt! At least it's not as bad as Kurama's WTF? coat at the end of the Dark Tournament.

And you're right, there's just something missing if all the bois aren't in the arc, and Kuwabara fans suffered far more in the Makai Tournament Arc than Hiei fans did in the Sensui Arc.

4, 8. My friend and I used to joke that it would sure be crazy if people were seriously about Transformers slash, because ha ha how would that even work? Now suddenly the movies out and it has a full on female fucking fandom with exclamation-infixing and OTPs and only months ago we were joking about how bizarre it would be if it actually happened.

The lesson: Never joke about "You could never slash this." It's the Rule 34 of fandom. If characters exist, then in some fangirl's head, they are gay, and they are fucking. End of story.

17. Agreed, but Dominic Deegan sucks. Dominic just gets more and more powerful and every serious scene is ruined by puns. It was fun in the beginning, but it just got awful by the middle. [IMO, of course]

6. I actually used to be really good friends with the creator many many moons ago, and he's always had a soft spot for femmeslash, so I was always secretly hoping it would come to pass (he's dropped some hints, for sure--chapter six still makes my breath hitch a little. SO CUTE.) The Aly arc, though completely adorable, did make me ache a little. I was so sure Anny and Kat would be canon. Now I have doubts. :(

Seriously, though, if your dad really loved you, it wouldn't be affected by a little thing like that. Not that I'm advising that you share your more...enjoyable finds with him or anything, but really, and this is the voice of experience here, a parent finding out about your stranger kinks accidentally is not the end of the world. Ooh, yes, I definitely agree. I love them both, and I'm really excited for The Golden Compass to come out, I'm a little afraid of it becoming a big crazy fandom like HP and overmarketed and whatnot. Hopefully the movie will be worth the fandom expansion (for lack of a better phrase...)
