MLP is one of those shows where i act like a fandom of one. i watch it, i love it, and i stay the hell away from the fandom so it won't ruin my enjoyment of it.

Me too. It's usually pretty easy to spot the crazies and find calmer waters to dip in. Some fandoms have a higher amount of people to avoid, but I've always managed to find a place I could frequent.
