I'd rather there be more fics on there than just a couple "quality" ones. Maybe not all of them are great but I don't mind sorting through if it means I can find something that's just perfect. And if AO3 stayed small the author of that perfect piece might have never posted there.

And I'd rather find fics there than anywhere else because I think the tagging system is really helpful.
