Some fans are so pissed about this they want Jonghyun and Taemin (the guys in the pic) out of the group. It's bullshit of course. Kpop had a lot of scandals this summer.

It's the obvious fakeness that bothered me...SHINee in the past has never used blatant on-stage fanservice as a gimmick and I don't want it to become a regular thing. For many hardcore Shawols like myself, the moment was just plain cringeworthy.

I definitely don't want them to get fired though; all that shit is so ridiculous. tbh I am really side-eyeing everyone who left the fandom just because of this.

IDK, me and most of the other Shawols I know loved it, though I guess it's all about where you hang out in fandom. K-idols are really, really fake and super-perfect, and that's part of why I love them.

I do think it could be around a 50/50 split in SHINee World...Most of my k-fandom time is spent on allkpop, and I know a lot of us felt uncomfortable with it over there...plus all the dipshit "they need to go" petitioners, but I'd rather pretend they don't exist lol. I have also seen plenty of supporters, so I guess we'll never know.

And I realize they're all fake in a way, it's just that...with SHINee, they've never really done anything like this, and Jongtae have had like zero shippable moments in the past lol. So it just seemed like SM told them to do it to get attention. That's just the vibe I got, ymmv I suppose!

I'm mostly on Tumblr and generally avoid akp, so that explains a lot. I also didn't know about the outrage at this until reading this secret.

To me, fanservice is fanservice, so I don't mind. They're all gorgeous guys, so even though I love 2Min and Jongkey, I don't mind seeing other pairings, including rare ones. Plus, they might do more like this in the future with more popular pairings, after testing the waters with Jongtae.

That's true, they might, which is actually my fear. It's just not to my taste when it comes to SHINee(I don't ship any SHINee pairings). Only time will tell~

J-Pop fans aren't that bad, tbh, though I hang out in girl group fandoms so maybe it's different with the boy bands. K-Pop fans make even SPN fans look sane though, negl.
