All the Bronte sisters? I've never read "Jane Eyre" but I adore "Wuthering Heights" which is written by Charlotte Bronte, a different Bronte sister than the one who wrote "Jane Eyre."

Ugh, Austen, stab my eyes out with a fork though.

I couldn't get through Wuthering Heights either. I think it's something about the style of that timeframe that bugs me on some level. When I think about it, I haven't read a single thing from that era I've liked.

Meh, it's not for everyone :) Me, I really quite like most of the rest of Victorian/Romantic era lit, so the fact that I don't like Austen and Dickens kind of bums me out :/ I think I also dislike about them that their stories usually have a happy ending. . .

Actually, Wuthering Heights was written by Charlotte's sister Emily; Jane Eyre was written by Charlotte.
