That is pretty depressing. I was assuming that there was just a lot of tension there, but do they honestly rarely interact?

Yeah, they hardly ever talk to one another. I wouldn't even say they're distant associates. The MOST "memorable" moment of them being within each other's presence is when Derek had been shot and Stiles moved to check up on him. Frankly, it was within reason. Two, to be exact.

One, if a guy like Derek had taken ill and fallen over and ceased breathing? He could be a space alien for all I'd care--I'd still want to make sure that he was, you know--alive.

The second was that Derek had fallen over, face first and (if my memory serves me right, feel free to say I'm wrong) was that Stiles either tapped his face or open-palm slapped him to get him to wake up.

TBH, I think the creator of Teen Wolf knows this and how some fandoms work. He seems to be milking that part of the fanbase that wants a "canon same gender ship." Which, it's all well and dandy in this Anon's book, but if you're just doing it to pacify your fans and garner attention in that regard by doing it in that method? Then I'm going to stop watching your show.

Did you watch the show? Have you forgotten the episode where Stiles looks after Derek for hours when he was dying of Wolfsbane poisoning? Or the scene in the swimming pool?

wtfe

If I haven't watched it, how did I just describe the episode that you mentioned previous post? I've watched a big majority of Season One, thanks. He watched out for him, but he still doesn't think much of Derek and neither of them interact much.

Or the scene in the swimming pool?

Uh huh. Because saving a person from drowning is such a thing of romance. Never mind that it's the right thing that any good hearted person who knows how to swim, would do.

I'm not a Sterek shipper, but I don't know where the "they barely interact" idea comes from. They spend most of one entire episode together, with Stiles trying to save Derek's life. And then Stiles saves Derek another time. They interact quite a bit, and while their interaction isn't the most interesting of any of the characters on the show, it definitely has potential.
