Really? I'm going against the current, then. I used to love slash insanely when I was younger and now I'm so much more into het. I do still enjoy Slash but to a much minor degree.

That said, Jydia is my OTP and I don't fancy Sterek that much, so the lack of fic is indeed, very disappointing.

I think younger fans tend to cling to canon in this fandom, which is partially the reason for the explosion of "Make Sterek Canon" shit (along with tons of other reasons) but I think the result is that canon ships in TW tend to be populated by younger people or at least, people who are new to fandom.

The few Jydia fics I've read have been absolutely awful and while Jackson/Lydia isn't my OTP, I do enjoy them a lot. I tend to stick with Stiles/Derek more because of the recognizable names in fandom, who have experience writing. Hopefully with all of the fests going on this winter and communities really building on tumblr/LJ, there will be more fic to enjoy... of all pairings. ; )

I know right. :( I've tried searching for Jydia fic and most of it was either 1) godawfull, so bad that I couldn't even read it, or 2) tagged as Jackson/Lydia when the fic was actually Sterek with some very minor Jydia/Scallison.

And I don't always ship canon pairs, but Jydia really stood out to me. It's not that I don't enjoy the idea of Sterek, I just don't see the chemistry on-screen, so I've never gone very deep in trying to find good fic of them. :P
