My friend and I played through Ocarina together when it first came out so we would have been eight or something. I can remember turning to her when we got to the Forest Temple and going "...So she stayed small when he grew up? But she liked him so much...what about her?" It was possibly the first real emotions that I had ever felt from a video game, especially since I was so young, you know?

So many things about Zelda games turns me into a weepy mess, though. Mido being sorry and telling you to apologize to Link for you and not knowing that you ARE Link. And then Twilight Princess toys with my nostalgia emotions, like I instantly start sobbing when I hear the Sacred Grove music being the slow version of Saria's Song or Queen Rutela's theme being the Serenade of Water. UGH TOO MANY EMOTIONS.

Come to think of it, I actually tend to do this a lot, depending on the setting of the series...and I'm a Christian.

I know a few people have issues with the series. To each his own, I say. I mostly find this funny because me and my friends see ourselves in the characters here. Flandarized to ridiculous degrees, yes, but it's still more close to us than any sitcom I have watched so *shrug*.

I'm sorry you haven't found anything you like. It's not the best place for fic for me but I've found stuff. *shrugs* I doubt the Jydia is going to be any better. Slashers tend to be the eldest people in this fandom and the het-ships tend to be populated mainly by teenagers.
