(Anonymous) 2012-09-02 12:40 am (UTC)(link)1. Stiles/Derek is the most popular pairing in the fandom. Whenever there's more of something, there's more potential for bad!fic, unfortunately. Look at fanfiction.net, for example. I try not to hate on fanfiction.net because there are so many writers, so obviously it will be more difficult to find the fics that please you most - like finding a specific needle in a stack on needles.
2. The show is called Teen Wolf. Although there are many fans (myself included) who are no longer teens, it was created originally to appeal to that specific age-group. While it's not the case for all teens, I can at least say that I am a better writer now than I was then.
I've actually found a good balance of fic I like and fic I back-space out of upon reading a couple chapters.
