I'm SORTA like this. I tend to view most characters as religiously apathetic unless it's explicitly stated otherwise--not religious, but not necessarily atheistic either. (I'm a deist, for the record, and was raised Episcopalian, so I'm not sure how much that's impacted my views there.)

Of course, given the fact that my main fandom has a mythology that doesn't fit ANY religion but also is, in a sense, theistic, it's a bit more complicated for me. I do have headcanons for various AUs--for instance, I imagine humanized!Terezi as being Jewish, humanized!Kanaya as being Catholic, etc.--but Homestuck's internal mythology kind of precludes any of the characters remaining members of any specific religion, and I personally don't have any headcanons about them being religious prior to the events of the comic. So yeah.

Basically, I tend to keep characters' religious views as minor headcanons unless it's explicitly mentioned that (insert character here) is (insert religion or lack thereof here).
