I really don't get why people think this show is made to point and laugh at geeks. The only people I know who actually enjoy the show are my geeky friends, because they actually get the jokes. A non-geeky person would not understand the references, which is 90% of the humour in the first place.

It's not some brilliant masterpiece, and if you don't find it funny that's fine. But the creator, the actors, and most of the people who seem to watch it are all geeky, too. I don't know a non-geeky person who watches it.
