Well apparently I've been doing it wrong for 5 seasons. All this time I've watched it because I relate to Leonard and thought that the show was about Penny being the butt of the jokes because she wasn't the geek. And how do you ship a show you can't stand?? That would be like me saying I can't stand "Jersey Shore" (FYI, I can't) but I still ship Jwow and the the guys with the pecs. See? I'm not even sure of their names.

Well, to use your example, I dislike the show Jersey Shore but I actually do ship Pauly D and Vinny. They're still ridic and the show is kind of awful, but they have some adorable/funny moments together. Sometimes bad shows can have characters that have an interesting dynamic. You can dislike a show overall but still enjoy certain aspects of it (even if those aspects aren't enough to actually redeem the show). I'm not sure why that's difficult to understand

My reply to the "why do you ship characters from the show if you hate it" is right above your comment, anon. (Sorry, I just get tired of repeating the same thing over and over again.)

It strikes me now though, seeing all the "why do you ship it" questions, that perhaps I shouldn't have used the word 'ship'. Shipping, to me, implies searching for fanfics/fanarts/fanvids/anything with your ship in it. I don't do that with Leonard/Sheldon. I should have written "I like the idea of Leonard/Sheldon", rather than "I ship Leonard/Sheldon" - I just chose 'ship' because it was the shortest word, tbh.
