It still makes me sad thinking about it. :(

It doesn't bother me... mostly because so meany Senshi come from bodies not classified as planets.

And I like to believe the Sailor Star Lights are the gaurdians of suns, a tri-star solar system, and Kinmoku revolves around Sailor Starfighter's sun /shippy headcanon.

Sure, Pluto doesn't have planetary status... but that never stopped anyone from being badass and powerful.

(And anyway, like everyone else has said, there are a lot of Senshi who don't even represent planets. Like Sailor Moon herself! But that never stopped her from being rad. I don't think Pluto's got anything to worry about.)

Why are so many people so "sad" and "depressed" over Pluto's reclassification?

You'd think NASA blew it out of the sky or something, based on the way people act like they're mourning it (and six years later). It's still out there, orbiting and doing its thing and not caring what we call it. Kids will not be "deprived" by knowing more specific definitions for celestial bodies and it's not like they'll never ever ever hear about Pluto.

Moon isn't a planet either. Isn't she the main character, or something?

I'm still annoyed that they won't accept Ceres as a planet, although I sort of agree that if she isn't, then Pluto (and Eris, Makemake, Sedna, etc.) isn't either. I'd just rather be inclusive rather than exclusive, I guess. DWARF PLANETS COUNT, DAMMIT!

I refuse to acknowledge this, whoever is in charge of those decisions can go step on a lego.

So, yeah, that's my headcanon for how Sailor Pluto originally got into the planetary lineup. You can't blame the people at NASA for downgrading it -- they don't have data from a couple thousand years ago. They don't know.

It's still a planet. It's just reclassified as a DWARF planet. I wish people would stop being silly about this.

I still think of Pluto as a planet honestly. Probably always will. Doesn't really matter if it's factually incorrect since it's not really related to my job or anything.

In my personal headcanon, when the senshi found out that Pluto the planet got demoted, Haruka teased Setsuna for weeks.

Maybe there can be sailor scouts (or whatever they're called) for all the other dwarf planets, too?

The Moon isn't a planet, so I guess she's still cool.

Plus, Pluto is a Dwarf Planet. Still counts, regardless.

It's a dwarf planet, and if Pluto gets to be an official planet so do Goldilocks and Makemake and all the other dwarf planets. People who don't give a shit about astronomy officially don't get to have an opinion on this, so stop whining about it already

In any case, it has nothing to do with Sailor Moon. There are other senshi characters in the comics that aren't named after planets in our solar system IIRC
