Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally clicked the wrong thing and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (a bit over 100) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here and it will still go up this week.

The submissions post for next week is linked below as usual.

Secrets Left to Post: 00 pages, 000 secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.

This indeed. He was clearly scared and threatened with violence, not to mention coming out of that portal looking like he'd been dragged through a galaxy backwards. This isn't 'excusing' or 'woobifying', just an interesting set of variables.

I particualarly hate it when anti-woobies are so determined that All Villains Are Interchangeable and that True Grown-Up Fans only care about the heroes and want a different 2D villain every film. And they say it and say it (I remember similar arguments about Sylar) as if they can disprove 'some villains are popular and played by good actors' by sheer weight of words.

Personally, Bruce and Tony's inner turmoils bore the crap out of me. They have angst, they doubt, they're never going Bad because they're heroes, and all their psychological plot-points have been covered.

I'm far more interested in what the helling hell Loki thought he was sodding doing messing with those skullfaced lizard people, because he was so far out of his league you could only see a line of bubbles. It's not woobifying, it's just my area of interest. Also I want to see if Joss has the nerve to *completely* steal Spike's arc in BTVS season 4 or just hint at it, because I know he wants to. He wants to soooo bad.

Ohmygod, this.

I think people forgot this is Joss Whedon we're dealing with. He has a history of loving and redeeming woobielicious villains.

Exactly. All the people who cry 'WOOBIFICATION' seem to have missed that movie Loki is actually written in a certain way and Hiddleston definitely chose to interpret and act out the character in a way that was very damaged at times.
