IDGAF if Loki later turns out to have been mind-controlled, except for the way it would ruin the cathartic satisfaction of a lot of his humiliating scenes.

I just hate the way people try to justify his actions like that right NOW, with no evidence, no purpose, and for no reason at all, except that they want to vindicate the character who represents all their own pent-up resentment and hatred and entitlement and self-pity and bitterness and sadism and skeevy inability to realize that doing bad things is bad even if you are sad and not as popular as some other kids.

I agree with you a lot. I would agree with you completely if you changed the "and"s to "or" or "and/or"s, because I think a lot of people aren't feeling all of those things, just some of them. Loki's feeling all of them, but I think some people are... tunnel-visioning out the parts they don't identify with.
