Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally clicked the wrong thing and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (a bit over 100) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here and it will still go up this week.

The submissions post for next week is linked below as usual.

Secrets Left to Post: 00 pages, 000 secrets from Secret Submission Post #296.

Re: Question to Loki fangirls

Well, I dislike the mind-control Loki theory because IMO it's very uncreative and boring and would spoil the subtext and emotional impact of his character's scenes in The Avengers. But creative explanations for why he was so gung-ho about ruling the world and why he decided to team up with the Chitauri and stuff? That I'm all for. There could be a load of explanations far less bland and dull than mind-control to explore that. Loki just being evil for evil's sake and with no line of reason to his actions is also boring. Plus, disappointing. Seriously, the idea of Loki just being a fundamentally evil shit from the start robs his character's backstory and his position in Asgard and his and Thor's and his and Odin's relationship of so much.

I think the problem is that both woobifiers AND anti-woobifiers tend to think that for some reason, having complex or even sympathetic reasoning justifies his behavior, and that if he didn't take pure vicious sadistic glee in conquering the world, if he had doubts, if he was insecure, if he was putting on a fake front of bravado, if he was manipulated, his killing loads of people doesn't matter. So the anti-woobifiers go "NOPE, NOPE NO COMPLEXITY AT ALL HDU" in response to the Loki fans pointing out all his possibilities for complexity and squeeing about how he's innocent, instead of going "well, yeah, sure, but that's still a really evil thing to do."

I actually mostly see the anti-woobifiers complaining about the woobifiers pretending Loki is completely innocent, but rarely see the woobifiers actually saying that. But maybe you and I visit different parts of the fandom.
