Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally clicked the wrong thing and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (a bit over 100) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here and it will still go up this week.

The submissions post for next week is linked below as usual.

Honestly, that does sound a little entitled. Particularly since everyone's going to have a different definition of what looks like a 12-year-old or a 16-year-old.

What fandom are you in?

I mean, wherever I go within animation-based ones, I usually see art that ages them down and up. I like the variety idk, but seriously what fandom are you in that specialises in making everyone only sexy babies? oh my god

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Not OP, but this seems to be prevalent in slash fandoms in terms of doujinshi. Het fandom doujinshi has other issues like taking a pretty average chested character and inflating her breasts to be extremely large. For m/m doujinshi, I've seen many where the "uke" character is drawn as very child-like and smaller than they are in canon.

It's interesting because I've found in terms of hentai doujinshi that the uke and woman tend to be the most drastically changed whereas the seme and man tend to be drawn relatively the same as they are in canon.

Let me guess, you think a girl looks 12 unless she has hair.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
lmao wat

is this a sad attempt to start pubic hair wank

of course, any dude whosays he cant tell the difference between a child and a grown woman with a waxed vag, is a pedo

but how this relate to not liking child porn

You must hate Japanes manga then. Ignoring the (usually ginormous) breasts, most female characters look like they could be 12 (big eyes, pig tales, school girl outfits, no womanly hips to speak of.) I always took it as a style choice.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
sure. its not wrong to question an exceedingly common (pedophilic) style choice tho

Well, part of it is that Japan legit has issues with people finding young-looking girls attractive, the younger the better.

But the other part of it is that a lot of Japanese people look young to someone with Western eyes, IMO. (Like the "no womanly hips" thing.)

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
This is why I avoid all fanart drawn in anime style. Not only do they look pre-pubescent, EVERYONE looks like 12 year old girls. Even adult men. They all have the same face.

Like, when Snape has the same face as Ginny, you've got a problem.

Oh! Hey, it's a comment where I get to use this image again.

Although yeah, a lot of generic "anime-esque" art from western artists has that problem.

+1

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
agreed

altho having snape and ginny at same time is also big problem

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Well no one should be drawing NSFW teenagers but outside of that...

16 years old is actually not an easy age to capture (at least in a stylized animation form), mainly because if you draw a girl too mature looking she will end up looking like a full grown adult, and if you go too far the other way then they will indeed all look like about 12 (or even younger.)

I usually go for the younger looking 16 year old and make them look nothing like I did when I was 16, but I also don't draw NSFW stuff for any character that isn't an adult.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
ty for saying it lmao thot i was the only one bothered by nsfw 16 yr old

idc what age of consent is, is 16 here, still wrong

high school kids =/= adults imo

but yeah i think 16 can go either way

there isnt a defined look rly

in high school, some girls looked like college students, others like middle school students, there is natural variety, meither is bad

but maybe not put any of them in porn lol

So 16 yrs olds can't draw 16 yr olds?

(Anonymous) 2012-09-02 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
So teenagers aren't allowed to draw art of people their own age?

um

can we just not draw nsfw pics of anyone under 18 tho

i rly dont care about age of consent

age of consent is 16 where i live

doesnt make it right

the law is fucked up sometimes

and anyone who draws nsfw of a child (16) is either a child or a pedo

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Ephebophile, actually. Still creepy, but I'm anal about word usage and people saying "If you like 16 year olds you're a pedo" drives me nuts.

Hmm, since I'm constantly told I look 15/16 and I'm 26 I simply can't take seriously any claims that involve an age having a proper look.

First thought? "Anime fan artists, huh?" Some do some don't. Get over it.

There used to be this one Japanese artist in my fandom who drew Old Snake to look about eight all the time (he was admittedly SDed, but even in SD form there are ways of indicating age and she just drew him like a child. Stuff like omitting wrinkles, omitting facial hair, blushed cheeks, chubby little arms etc.). This wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that she did loads of tentacle porn. It was not very comfortable viewing.
