Notes:

Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally clicked the wrong thing and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (a bit over 100) are gone.

If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here and it will still go up this week.

The submissions post for next week is linked below as usual.

Your choice of photos of him is making me laugh. That wacky Toddster!

[personal profile] agnes_bean 2012-09-01 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I saw someone post that photo with "Meth Damon" on it, and now I cannot unsee the Todd = Matt Damon thing.

The first few times I saw Todd, I really thought it was Matt Damon.

cloud_riven: Actor Terry Kinney's bald head sliding up and down from behind a hotdog. (Bosco/Hot Dog = OTP)

most beautiful pun ♥

I was telling my sister the other day about how much the Todd guy makes me think specifically of Matt Damon in Ocean's Eleven. She couldn't unsee it either.

[personal profile] agnes_bean 2012-09-01 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I get why you say that, but at the same time...WTF was that kid going to say? It's not like it was clear what they were doing.

[personal profile] agnes_bean 2012-09-01 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
(Also, you know, the whole moral qualm of "is killing a child to save your own criminal asses ever the 'right decision'"?)

MTE. They could have told the kid that they worked for the railroad.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
What is this from?

[personal profile] agnes_bean 2012-09-01 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Breaking Bad.

If you want the specifics...

SPOILER! SPOILER!

The guy in that picture shot a young boy who accidentally stumbled upon out "heroes" as they were wrapping up a train heist. No witnesses, and all that.

But we don't know that. I thought it was supposed to be one of those situations that have no "right" choices. It was what made the scene so horrifying/unintentionally hilarious (YMMV).

But whatever works for you, OP.

lookit, a video

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, the kid actually has a Youtube page.

what? how was there no right choice? don't kill a child. I'm trying to think when that is ever the wrong choice.

Oh... not Bent.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-01 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought this was a Bent secret at first. That show was really good and had a fun laid-back vibe, it had a lot of great actors and some really good chemistry, and I'm sad that it never got a fair shake.

I'm probably the only one who watched it, though, and almost certainly the only one who liked it enough to regret its unjust cancellation. Ah well, that's life in TV Land.

I watched it because I don't have very many channels and wanted the TV on for background noise (lol) but I couldn't stand the main guy. Liked the prissy doctor a lot more!

IA. imean not morally but a criminal shouldnt leave witnessess.

The morally correct thing to do would have been for all those guys, even Jesse, to choose to take the risk of going to prison rather than killing that kid. :|
yeahscience: (mr. white - desert)

[personal profile] yeahscience 2012-09-02 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Well, to be fair to Walt and Jesse, it's not like they had a choice in what happened. I don't think even Walt would have chosen to kill the kid at that point. Todd took the decision out of their hands before they could react.

(Anonymous) 2012-09-02 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
The morally correct thing would've been to not cook meth in the first place probably??
ellie_oops: (Default)

[personal profile] ellie_oops 2012-09-02 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Morally Correct" and this show have nothing in common. If Gilligan wanted to go the morally correct route, the show would have ended after 3 episodes.

Sorry, I can't put it any more eloquently, but no, he did not. The kid barely saw anything and surely didn't understand, but on top of that, he was a kid. It's...wrong to shoot kids. I don't...that's all I got.

you sure? Cause they could have just said "back off kid, we're doing safety testing/repairs/whatever-you-like on these railroad tracks."
