Notes:
Important: I'm really sorry about this, but I accidentally clicked the wrong thing and deleted the submission post from last week instead of saving it. Managed to save the first page (25) of secrets, but the rest (a bit over 100) are gone.
If you submitted something last week (Aug 26-Sept 1), please resubmit it here and it will still go up this week.
The submissions post for next week is linked below as usual.

And thanks for the warning about post S3- I'm not going to bother because it'll just be frustrating*, so I'll just stop while I still have the enjoyable episodes.
Speaking of high hopes dashed and "no1curr if you're dating, make with the funny", I'm currently doing a keep/delete sorting of a show that had amazing high potential for comedy utterly wasted- 3rd Rock from the Sun. It's practically tragic how much great potential there was in the "aliens studying Earth" and how the times they did use it, it was spot-on and hilarious (even thought provoking), but half the time they focused on the Rrrrghpointless relationships. I feel like I have legitimate license to bitch about this because with very few exceptions, those stupid relationship plots had no bearing on them being aliens, making it clear to me that the writers were engaging in self indulgence- you know what I mean? When you love your character so much that you want to see into their relationship lives? It's fun for the writer but the rest of us don't care; we came here for alien culture shock/observation/misunderstanding gags/assimilation! (I truly apologize; I'm just so annoyed and frustrated about it and have no one to vent it to).
Regarding that fifth paragraph- this. I haven't seen those complaints, but it's definitely more annoying that the "girl geeks are unicorns" mentality persists. That trope annoys the Hell out of me because it's so antiquated. Not only that, but it pops up even when it's trying to be positive. My constant go-to exhibit B for this is the comic Ctrl+Alt+Del. They make such a big song and dance about Lilah being a girl who plays video games. This confused the Hell out of me for years because I honestly thought that Buckley was making that stereotype up. Until I went to college, I didn't even know any males who played video games; just females. Some people don't seem to understand that if you're trying to break a stereotype, don't keep bringing up the damn stereotype, because then it's not genuine, it's just an agenda.
So glad you replied. I'm excited beyond belief to find someone who has similar tastes and opinions about elements of a show, especially the mating aspect. A person can't express the opinion "this sex stuff is boring me" in public without some random doofus jumping up to inform you "ur just jellus cuz ur alone". I realize it's not the doofus' fault, that they are projecting their own values of "one cannot be single and happy", but ... yeah, the fact is, a show is for entertainment, and when you said "tedious" that really sums it up. That's the reason I don't see the appeal of "Friends"; same deal with the hit-and-miss. Though as you said that you enjoy Amy and Sheldon's relationship, I have an exception, too, which is that I do find older female/younger male couples really interesting. I had high hopes for Cougar Town, but the dream is dead now. Super annoying, especially since it's wall-to-wall Older man/Much younger woman relationships.
Whew. That's a rant, I know. Like I said, I rarely meet people with this thing in common.
